Throwback to when R&B was real music, the 2000s. Exactly when Arsenal were at their flawless best under their legendary manager Arsene Wenger 🙌
Blink, and a quarter of the season is done 🤯 while Arsenal still remains at the top of the Premier League (PL). Did anyone press Replay ⏮ 😊
After 10 games, Arsenal is at the top of the league and is four points clear of the second place. A fantastic start by Mikel Arteta’s men which is the best in almost a decade and a half. The Gunners (Arsenal’s nickname) have won 9 out of 10 games with the lone loss coming at Old Trafford against a resurgent Manchester United. Up next they visit the south coast to play Southampton.
Erling Braut Haaland and Manchester City were riding sky high until they met, their recent nemesis Liverpool at Anfield where they suffered a 1-0 loss. They remain in second place with 23 points, just like Tottenham in third. The Spurs (Tottenham’s nickname) started the season strong but have wobbled a bit with away defeats at Manchester United and Arsenal (both super tough fixtures)
In fourth we have Chelsea under their new boss Graham Potter (former of Brighton & Hove Albion) who are unbeaten in last five PL games and a resurging Manchester United in fifth after securing their win against Spurs. However, there is off-field drama at United concerning Cristiano Ronaldo and his recent walk-off into the dug out while the match was still being played 🫣
Newcastle United are holding on very well at sixth while Liverpool seem to have found some lost form and are seventh after beating defending champions Manchester City at Anfield. Fulham, Brighton and Brentford complete a surprise top 10.
Some clubs are still struggling in the bottom half of the table as Wolves and Leicester City. Aston Villa, currently seventeenth, have sacked manager and legend Steven Gerrard following a 3-0 loss to Fulham 😔
Elsewhere in Bundesliga, Union Berlin remains at the top with a 4-point lead over Bayern Munich while Dortmund is struggling at eight place. Napoli, who have set the Champions League ablaze with their sharp counter-attacking football, remain unbeaten in Italy along with Atalanta at the top of the table. AC Milan and Roma complete the top four in Italy.
This week we have a couple of high profile fixtures with Chelsea hosting Manchester United while Brighton travel to Man City. Spurs have yet another stern test as Newcastle United visit them in north London. Another chapter in what is turning out to be a close battle in the Premier League. Will Arsenal run away with the title ? Will City flourish again ? Spurs, Chelsea and Man United wear out each other ? Stay tuned for the next update 😎
