Some words of wisdom from the wise sage Thiago ! I’d love for him to do some more interviews since it is always insightful to listen to such distinguished and accomplished players. Thiago sealed a 2-0 win for Liverpool, scoring his first for the Reds as they inch closer towards the top-4 finish this season. West Ham United losing 1-0 to Merseyside neighbors Everton and Leicester City’s shock 4-2 loss at home to Newcastle United certainly helped them. Leeds United capitalized on their chances and continued their impressive season with a 3-1 win over Tottenham. Let’s sit tight to see whether they actually end up entering the Champions League through the window next year !😄

As if this season wasn’t congested in the first place, Manchester United began their first of the three games this week with a 3-1 comeback win over Aston Villa. Man United face Leicester City this Tuesday before playing Liverpool on Thursday ! One thing already accomplished by the Red Devils is that they clinched a European final berth, beating Roma 8-5 on aggregate and setting up a UEFA Europa final with Villareal. United are now unbeaten in 25 consecutive Premier League away matches, crazy !🤯 Meanwhile, Chelsea won a dress rehearsal of the upcoming Champions League final beating Manchester City 1-2 after both Chelsea and Man City won their respective semi-finals to set up an all-English final affair in Istanbul on 29th May. With this loss Man City is yet to clinch the Premier League title. Will there be a last minute twist in the script there ? 😋

Elsewhere in Europe, PSG dropped points after drawing 1-1 with Rennes and handing Lille a precious 3-point lead at the top of the Ligue 1 table with two games to go ! A.C. Milan beat Juventus 3-0 and registered their first win against the Old Lady in Serie A since 2011. This pushes Juventus out of the top-4, one point behind fourth placed Napoli. Things are just beginning to pick up in Italy as Jose Mourinho is appointed the new manger of Roma next season ! In Germany, Borussia Dortmund registered a crucial 3-2 win over RB Leipzig to stay in fourth, one point above Eintracht Frankfurt in fifth. La Liga is set for a super finale as Barca and Real Madrid both drew their respective games to give Atletico a massive two-point advantage over them with just three games to go! Ajax comfortably clinched the Eredivise title to win their 35th overall.
